A plain description of how RestroGrade works. It is not legal advice.

Membership and billing

Everything is free during public beta. When paid membership opens, RestroGrade Pro costs $2.99/month or $21.49/year in USD. A 7-day free trial is available only to people who have never subscribed before; a card is required. Your card is charged automatically when the trial ends unless you cancel beforehand. Returning subscribers are charged immediately. Membership renews automatically at the selected interval. Cancel anytime through your account's Manage subscription button; access continues until the end of the paid period (or trial period if canceled during the trial). You can also update your card and view invoices there.

What RestroGrade shows

Health inspection information comes from official health department publications and is labeled with dates and sources. Inspection details may require a subscription. Diner reviews and outside ratings are opinions, not health ratings.

Diner reviews

Reading and writing reviews is free. Writing a review requires a signed-in account with a verified email and confirmation that you visited. Text reviews pass basic spam rules before publishing; reviews with photos or flagged text wait for human admin approval. Admins may reject, remove, or hide photos from reviews, and anyone can report a published review.

Outside ratings

Restaurant pages provide plain search links to Google Maps and Yelp. Outside ratings and reviews live on those sites; no outside ratings, review text or photos are copied into these sections or blended into the RestroGrade dining score.
